Summer Reading for Adults

The Summer Reading Program at the Bloomfield Library isn’t just for kids. We have several events for Adults. Everyone can celebrate and enjoy summer with the Bloomfield Library!

Adult Programs:

Movie Mondays for Adults
Monday, July 25 and Monday, August 22; 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Join us at the library for a newly released film.

Summer Scrabble at the Library
Thursdays, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
You’re invited to join us for a friendly walk-in summer Scrabble game. Bring a friend, or come on your own. Bring your own game or use ours.

Terrarium Craft
Monday, July 11; 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Create a terrarium with sand and artificial plants. Supplies provided or bring something from home.

Beaded Plant Stakes
Wednesday, July 13; 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Learn how to create beaded wire stakes for indoor plants. All supplies included or bring your own charms and beads.

Captain David Boat Cruises, Author Visit
Wednesday, August 3; 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Get to know author, David Tripiciano, as he talks about life changing events that led him to establish a boating experience for children in unique situations. Signed book copies available.

Play Bingo
Bring a completed Bingo Sheet, available at the library–you can compete multiple times, to be entered into a drawing at our Summer Finale on Thursday, August 18.
